Hi bbez,

Most times when MPLEX is not able to mux is due to some incompatibilities with FreeEnc or QuEnc. Try using HC, it produces more standard MPEG2 Wink

You can use HCEnc in Quality Based mode, it should be very fast specially with Dual Core processors. Just make sure you set sample size factor to 0.95 to prevent oversizing.

Hi, tnx, i'll give that a try as i'm still getting mux failures using HC with all default settings.  As a workaround, after configuring diko to use besweet to mux, if i use the crash recovery feature [very useful] i can sucessfully mux the mpv / mpa into a working .mpg.

The only thing with Be Sweet is when it's finished, it doesn't auto close [i have to press ok in the be sweet semi-cli after muxing] before diko will continue with the batch process, that's why i was trying mplex for audio when doing 2 or 3 encodes overnight

I've finally got mplex to work with version 2.45 Gold.

I uninstalled 2.45 and reinstalled version 2.26, copied the entire "dvdauthor" folder from c:\program files\diko to my desktop.

I then uninstalled 2.26, ran a registry cleaner through my system and reinstalled 2.45 and copied the "dvdauthor" folder from version 2.26 from the desktop to c:\program files\diko, overwriting the folder that came with version 2.45 and now it's authoring again so i think their is a bug with a file contained in the dvd author folder.
