Hi there,

Just to let you know...I'm currently working on a tool I will call for now, MP_AQE : Massively Parallel AQE. A small tool to run AQE on several nodes which could be either local or remote.

You could expect a first beta release next week.... Roll Eyes

It would be good for users with mutiple PC's, btw, were you able to discuss with JDobbs, for using mutiple encoders options under DVD-RB pro with AQMEnc Huh.

Thank you my friend!!! Despite of major personal pbs  Undecided ...I finally got a first version of MP_AQE working, I'm currently running an encode with DVDRB and MP_AQE (2 nodes).
I'll most probably release an alpha version this week...as promised.

Ok I'm almost done...I successfully encoded one DVD through MP_AQE and DVDRB. But I failed another one because of my subroutine for merging M2V files. Does anybody know a clean way to merge MPEG2 files?! (I tried mpgtx but it seems to introduce some errors...). I know it could be done through DGIndex, but if something more simple existed, I would prefer it....

Hm, mpgtx is not a valuable option since it can cause errors within the stream. After some initial experiments I switched over to DGIndex and are still using it for QuEnc^n and AQE^n without any issues. Personally I don´t see a big difference between DGIndex and another tool such as mpgtx.
OK, agreed: DGIndex is not quite small (~400kB) and requires you to delete the generated D2V project as well as renaming the "demuxed" M2V file but it´s a simple one-line shell command beside this. So unless there is some working DLL / source code available for merging M2V segment (which might be extractable from the DGIndex sources) I would rather use existing CLI tools than re-inventing the wheel (same as for audio encoding, you remember ? ).

Just my two cents,
D$

Agreed that's why I was asking....I found mpgtx very simple, that's why I liked this solution...but you're right some errors are introduced. And I dont want to code something...I'm not really in the mood of coding something which is already there.
