Updated Wink. Hope everyone likes the new features.

Great job!  Cheesy

Btw, I realized that ECLManager has more matrices sources for our delight.  I suggest you to take a look. Wink

Thanks for your efforts, but unfortunatelly that formula doesn't work well when you increase footage: Overhead for 2 hours of video is much bigger than overhead for 6 hours of video (targetting the same media, 1 DVD for instance). I've found out this in tests but never came out with an exact formula Sad

I think that DIKO Automatic Configurator is able to calculate the overhead variables... Did you see it?  Huh

I'm confused. When I changed the DVD Size settings (nº of movies to encoder and total movies on dvd) the overhead was automatically changed. For this reason I thought this software could calc overhead.

It just divides the default DIKO overhead value (180) by the number of movies, it doesn't calc the overhead. Smiley

I do not know the author of Calcumatic but it seems that he/she knows how to calculate the overhead...

There is a special anime matrix in TmpgEnc. Personally I would use normal MPEG Standard Matrix together with CCE for that

Hi XBrazucaX, I'm not entirely sure what your saying - but if your offering to host my "projects" that would be very nice indeed Wink.

NathanX -> Here: http://psyrep.tripod.com/id12.html

I have a question about Diko Matrix Creator:

I can surely say that I am a newbie at this converting. I like to use DIKO with its standard options, as I have now knowlege about matrixs, scripts, bitrates and so on. Is's a biy confusing to me.
I think there are a lot of us "beginners" out here using DIKO.
I would like to get the best quality conversions - but as a newbie with limited knowlegde and limited time to learn, it can be hard. Therefore I'd like it to be userfriendly and easy.

How can I use Diko Matrix Creator? I have DL the program, added the files and Matrix Creator tells me to use BVCD Underground script. Do I just export this script to the diko scripts and choose it in Diko?
If I calculate another project and t again tells me to use BVCD Underground script, can I then use the script i copied in before og do I have to make an export again?

Hi Tobster,

thank you for providing the link.

Diko Matrix Creator is not a tool to create a avisynth script, it is creates a matrix based on the length of input avi, the output format and some suggestions regarding matrices by me. So when you start  the program you put in the length of the video, the destination format, the number of CDs/DVDs and the bitrate of the destination audio track. That gives you the calculated bitrate.
Then you select the range of the bitrate where the calculated bitrate is in in the lower right corner. So if the calculated bitrate is 1610 Kbps, you select the range of 1500-2000 kps in the lower right corner in the green area. That selection has influence in the suggested matrices in the Preset drop down field. You can select the matrix you like and export that matrix to the \diko\matrix folder, where an ini file containing the selected matrix is placed. You can select that matrix in Diko configuration Video 1 tab.

I hope this helps you out a bit.

No, i would rather say that you just have to calculate the bitrate and check if you already have the appropriate matrix in diko...
