Hi there,

A major beta release, forget the two last versions (.8 & .9), I found a major flaw in the Ultra Low engine Threshold...it was always engaged. Thats why some people experienced some blinking squares...like Gino.

# Corrected a major bug : The Ultra Low Mode was always engaged !!!! (since 0.31.0.Cool
# Added a new VAF analyzer to assess more accurately the Qmin/Qmax after the first pass.
# Added a min bitrate correction function
# Spikes should be gone at high bitrates !!!!!

I also worked hard on the spikes pb....I think I'm almost perfect now at high bitrates.

Please take note, that I had no time to test OPV. I need another computer to be able to run tests on OPV in addition to the one running for multipasses.

@All

C'mon guys ! I think that AQE's developer deserves a few colaboration. AQE is so great FREE ($$$) ENCODER that it is FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH RB-FARM !!!  Shocked Shocked

I found this thing out right now: I'm encoding using RB-FARM for to do the encoding at ENCODE PHASE for 3-CLICK Mode in RB Pro 1.2 and all is working like a champ!

My 'LAN' consists from my Athlon XP 2600+ desktop ("Barton" kernell with 512 KB of L2 cache), 768 MB DDR 333, SamSung 80 GB IDE 133 HDD only dedicated for data and other Seagate 40 GB IDE 133 for data and system (XP SP2) and my Athlon XP-M (mobile), 256 MB DDR, 40 GB HDD for data and system (XP SP2), both linked through a 10/100 Mbits switch.

I'm encoding in OPV mode with QMatOp OFF (just for to comparison with CCE encoding using RB-Farm - this test I was yesterday). I'm using AQE 0.31.1.0 alpha.

More later I will give to report the results. Stay tuned!!  Wink

@SAPSTAR

Great work !! I really appreciate all your hard work. Keep on, mate!

C u all soon,

@Pro

I'm not offended at all (you can see that I used a :grin: smile). BTW, I only donate for FREE Software because I belive in the way like the things are managed. Even that if the software is not FREEWARE, so it's a commercial product, so you've TO BUY it (what isn't AQE case and many others).

I can to do the same for your tools (which are delivered for everybody Free of charge) in case you request some donationWink

Take in mind that:

donation for freeware != buy the 'commercialware' !!!

Un abrazo,

EDIT: Luis, in order to doesn't keep any bad impression about my comments, I let you know that I REALLY APPRECIATE YOURS TESTS AND WORK about AQE+DIKO INTEGRATION, and other tools that you develop for free to all of us. And this is also invaluable!!  Wink

$20USD should be on its way to you Sapstar.  Smiley

I have been doing a few encodes using AQE with DIKO lately thanks to Prodater's work-around and I have been impressed with the results.  To my eyes it is very close in quality to CCE.  If it wasn't for those few minor picture issues like the blinking squares described above then it would be damn near perfect.

Thanks for all your work in developing this encoder Sapstar and I look forward to testing out this latest beta. Grin

I just released a quick fix, version 0.31.1.1...a stupid error in the ECL parsing could trigger the Ultra Low Engine when not needed...and so bring back those blinking squares !!! Angry

[EDIT] Latsilva, just released a new version of ECLcreate, now everything should be fine !!! see this thread

Latest low bitrate tests are here!!
Source:1 hour 54 min 20 sec calculated average bitrate 855 kbit/sec, resolution 352x288 to get on one CD.

Used programs:
AQE 0.31.1.1
Avisynth 2.56a
limitedsharpen script
eclcreate 0.12b

Here are the results:

The quality is great for that resolution and average bitrate!!!

Keep up developing and thanks to you SAPSTAR for your great work
