Hi there it seems the website is down...Badservo who is giving me the space for free didn't reply yet to my messages....I may have to create a "secondary" web server to prevent this kind of pb.

) - think i need to do more passes cus not one log file have i seen it say bitrate is good skiiping next pass :/

I am testing AQE 0.31.0.2 on bitrates lower 1000 kbps tried several encodes but getting everytime the same result with QMatOp ON. The ecl file is created witch eclcreate0.6b. The calculated Matrix is always the same on different encodes.

dont know what to change
. AQE shows great results on low bitrates, cant wait to test next release.

@oxa
The optimized qmat is constrained to average bitrate that you've set it up. So, it's expected that you always get the same result (I mean same qmat) since you must is assign the same avarage bitrate value. Not problem at all and this is a good thing, cos not it wouldn't have uniqueness feature (I mean 1 AB -> 1 Optimum QMat -> and only one).
Ahhh and Welcome to our board!!

@danpos
The low bitrate encodes i did are not all with the same bitrate. I did encodes from 650 to 1000 kbps for 1 CD Backup tests with different sources and I got always the same calculated Matrix posted above
. The next tests i did i switched off Qmatop and selected different types of matrices shown in eclcreate0.6b. But I want to get the best results possible out of AQE. Has anybody recognized the same problem or did you get for every bitrate you use and every encode a different calculated matrix?
Thanks for your reply to my first post

A flat 8/16 matrix, could mean several things :
- Your movie had few details, Animation, very very very dark movie
- Your bitrate for your given resolution is really high
Something else, I never tested AQE for something else than DVDs....so I don't know what the results are for SVCD ?!?!
